MCC Introduces New Service NV1 to Boost Trade Between Vietnam and China 14 December 2017

December 14th, 2017: MCC Transport (MCC) the regional specialist handling all IntraAsia containerized cargo for A.P. Moller Maersk, is launching a new service between North Vietnam and China on January 9th, 2018. With its North Vietnam 1 (NV1) service, MCC is adding further to its ambition of growing the Asian market and enabling new trade opportunities for the region.

“Vietnam is China’s biggest trading partner in South East Asia, and trade between the two countries has been steadily growing over the recent years,” explains Naresh Potty, Chief Commercial Officer of MCC. “We look forward to supporting this growth with the launch of the NV1. With direct connections and competitive transit times, shippers from China and Vietnam can reach their markets within a week.”

From China to North Vietnam in as fast as five days.

On the NV1, shippers can expect their cargo to reach Haiphong within five days from Ningbo, and 8 days from Qingdao.

Additionally, the NV1 service is designed to provide two sailings from Shanghai to Haiphong every week with a transit time of 8 and 5 days, which will provide customers the flexibility of choosing a schedule that best benefits their business.

Taking exports from Haiphong directly to key China markets.

Although NV1 will primarily benefit imports into Vietnam, the new service can also offer new opportunities for export businesses from Haiphong to China. NV1 provides a direct connection from Haiphong to Qingdao, Shanghai, Ningbo and Hong Kong.

Shippers will enjoy a fast transit time of 6 days from Haiphong to Qingdao and 7 days to Ningbo, while shipping to Hong Kong will take 2 days.  Two weekly sailings from Haiphong to Shanghai will provide the customers the flexibility of choosing between transit times of 8 and 5 days respectively.

The NV1 service follows a butterfly loop with the following rotation: Shanghai – Ningbo – Hongkong – Haiphong – Hongkong – Qingdao – Shanghai – Hongkong – Haiphong – Shanghai.

NV1’s will have its maiden sailing from Shanghai on 09 January 2018.MapNV1
